When my oldest son was about this size, we had a St. Bernard named Dino. Believe i t or not, tug-o-war was a favorite game of both of them, and Dino lost as often as he won. (Best babysitter in the world, with a touch and a mouth as soft as a feather!) :-D

Dragged? He'd just have to drop the extendable leash and be safe.
