Oh wow - what a gorgeous colour, and such detail in this shot. I wish I could see one of these beautufiul birds for real - we don't have them in England. Thanks so much for posting. Nicky.
Perhaps it is a red bud surrounding a cardinal? our area is forecasted to get between 12-18 inches.. Naturally, we are on the NH coast for a few days and will miss the storm at home :( looks like a rain event here in Portsmouth.
Hi PG and snooker. Thank you for your comments! We were supposed to have 2-4 inches of snow today, but the front went south of us. It hit chickiemama, but we didn't get so much as a flake. Grrrrr....
Maryrob, I had 18 cardinals about 4 or 5 years ago. Now I have only 2 or 3. One male and a few females. I miss them! Chickie...no snow where I am. Nothing. They were telling us 2-4 inches. The storm must have moved further south than what they first thought. Thanks for commenting, toto, chickie, bentleyd, gnt, Ank and Maryrob! I took these shots yesterday, Christmas day.
Absolutely beautiful Laura,Thank you.Lately Cardinals seem to be boycotting my feeder. That will probably change if it snows here.Snow seems to bring alot of birds with it.lol
