Sandhill cranes dancing in my front yard last month

Yes, they are a noisy bunch...the more, the better. Sometimes we have a temporary flock of 7 or 8 in the area, but this pair nests right down the road.

Dancing cranes are so neat to see! You are lucky. When migrating, they fly over our house every spring and fall and I love the noises they make too. You can hear it from WAY far off.

This is a resident, mated pair. Florida has a large non-migratory population. They are here every day pretty much. They nest 2 houses down in the grasses around a pasture pond.
