Midwest Weather: FOG

In Southwest Missouri where I live, we have an abundance of humidity. In the Spring and Fall the relative humidity reaches 100% frequently during early morning hours and we have ground fog which burns off quickly shortly after the sun rises.
But we can have fog just about any time of the year if the land is warm, then cold, moist air blankets the area or if the land is cold, then warm, moist air flows over the top of us.
I have even seen "Hail Fog" where the ground and air are warm and moist and a sudden hail storm drops the air temperature.

A great shot!! Thank you Jim.
I'm looking at all your wonderful pictures but I don't have time to solve them all or leave many comments.

We have fog and ground fog all the time at this time of the year. However, I am not familiar with Hail Fog!!! Oh my!

Oh dear ~ I love it :-) _ At my place we only get this kind of frog in the autumn time along the river banks and I always enjoy to meet on them.
~ thanks for sharing :-)
