Hi Ank. Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, when I think about them I also thank the armed foces then and now.
Cathy, Many of your young men are killed in Europe. Fighting for our freedom. I want to thank all that men who fight now and then for freedom.
Hi Robbie. Thank you for your comments. Yes, a lot of strong friendships are made during these terrible events. I loved the picture of your father in his uniform. Thanks.
Very nice photo cevas, quite a few Bermudians flew with the Royal Canadian Air Force squadrons during WWII. Sadly most have passed away now. Thanks.
Yes, Suzy, a good turnout and a nice service. There was even a flypast. There are other services in this area, Vancouver, West Vancouver etc. So the seven planes fly in formation over all the parks that are involved two or three times.
A good turn out to remember those who served.
Hi pilley. Thanks for your comment. Yes, we all hope for peace. Wow! You are deep into winter ... in November!
Thank you, lyndee, Texas and JC. Yes, it would indeed !
Double ditto to what lyndee said, thanks for your post. We have 17*F and 5" of snow, winter is on it's way.
Thanks for posting this, cevas.
Ditto, what Lyndee said! Thanks, Cevas.
Thank you Cevas for posting this. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own country, we forget about the loss of men and women elsewhere. Wouldn't it be nice to have peace all over the world?
It didn't rain on us this time but it was cold ... 6 degrees C or 42 degrees F.
