After having my MG TC wrecked by a bus, I read about the new (1955) Porsche 356 Speedster in Road and Track. Riding a bus to Seattle, We bought the first one sold in the Pacific NW. Went on to win three SCCA road races, till we had our second daughter, and, sigh, got a Station Wagon!
My first car was a (used) 1961 356B, and I loved it. I wish I'd kept it for my son, who is a complete car nut, but it wasn't practical for hauling a kid around, so I got a minivan--sigh.
