dbnc: We started farming with horses and then Dad got a tractor as well.
Horse were still used for haying, hauling out manure, hauling water, etc.
Iris: This was probably taken in the late 1940's.
Jo: Horses were an important part of our farm operation.
Cathy: My pleasure to share this one.
Nev.: It's an oldie.
Barb: When I saw other pictures of horses I remembered the one I had from our farm days.
Lorna: They helped bring in the wood that is in the background.
Willy: Maybe after doing some work, they feel like resting a bit,
or just not too excited at what they had to do.
Thank you all for your visit and sharing this part of my history.
