Interesting thought, Lyndee. It's also true that beauty is only skin deep, though, unfortunately. Starlings can be beautiful on the outside, but they can be kinda pesky, too. I once read a book about a starling, though -- I think it was called, "Arnie, the Darling Starling," or something like that. It was really touching and made me like the little bird and its antics.
Thanks for stopping by Pat.
So true Lyndee
Thanks pumpkin and pg.
Look at those shiny feathers!
They sparkle in the sun lyndee. Great shot of him/her
Thanks chickie for defining this blackbird for us. Glad you like it.
Nice shot of it and it is a Starling lyndee. It is the only blackbird we have with a yellow beak. I too think they are pretty when the sun hits them just right.
Yes Rose. If we look hard enough, there's usually a beauty in everything.Tex, it's amazing what the sun can do isn't it?
I know what you mean, they're iridescent when the sun hits them and they look blue and green. I remember that song by Ray Stevens, too! Thanks, Lyndee.
Your title reminds me of Mr. Rogers assurance to children, when he'd say, "I like you just the way you are." ; )
Blackbird is what I always call them Floyd. They can be pretty if the sun hits them just right.
Do you know what kind of bird it is? Little bit like a blackbird.
