uu123 - I'm pretty new to gardening, but I think it is because they fertilize and water their plants generously. Container gardens have to be watered more often than plants in the ground. The plants that thrive in my garden are the ones I remember to take care of on a daily basis. It can be tiresome and it can be expensive too, but it's worth the effort when they look so beautiful.
