Bald Cypress Trees at the Lake

I know! Those roots are so interesting. These trees are all around the lake and so beautiful.

I love these trees, too. I have three on my property & my neighbor has one. They are so beautiful any time of year but we are constantly having to keep tabs on them---their 'knees' will break a mower blade in a heartbeat so we have to keep them trimmed down.............

Thank you, Ank, Chooks & CM! Glad you like it. Morris, I have never seen these trees show off like they are this year. They usually just turn brown and then shed, but this year, they're orange, red and yellow. Also, you should see the root system. They make big old knobs above ground as much as 6" tall, so it isn't a good idea to walk under them. I love these trees, and they grow right in the water if they have to.
