Tree Sparrows are normally winter like birds. They get by pretty well scratching in the snow.

Same here, Suzy! I've had chickadees, juncos, and even robins eating out of the feeder.

The snow works up a hunger in the little ones! We have gone through pounds of bird seed in the last 3 days. The snow has brought them home to graze.
