Robbie - He looks so very young! And when you think about how young most of those brave men were in WWII, it can't help but bring tears to your eyes. I know most wars are that way, but for some reason, looking at Dad's photo is really poignant for me!
Thank you! And, I know you're proud, too!
JB what a lovely group and fine tribute to all military families. Your dad reminds me of mine, although he was Royal Navy their uniforms look similar even the cap. You have reason to be very proud, thanks.
We're at the coast now and I'm just checking in.
You are all so wonderful and supportive. I am awfully proud of this group......as I am of anyone who is serving or has served! Thank you for all the sweet comments - Jim, Ardy, Pat, Ank, Hester and Dagmar!
You have reason to be proud. I love to see their pictures. Fantastic you still have your father ( mine is already gone for 40 years, but I still mis him). I hope you son in law will return quicky. I don't like that guys over there. He better be home. Thanks Jan for showing us this photos. I love it.
Thanks so much for sharing these with us, Jan--you must be very proud of them all! If I can find my old photos, I should post one of my dad, who piloted C-47's in the South Pacific. I love seeing all these family members, and reading their stories!
