A sewist??? LOL! Thank you, chilisand_the_inventor_of_new_words. Holy Mackerel, chilisand! It's really a new word! I just did a google search-"Sewist is a relatively new term, combining the words "sew" and "artist", to describe someone who creates sewn works of art, which can include clothing or other items made with sewn elements."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dressmaker
Ah, a sewist? Lovely puzzle, thank you.
Pat, when I was younger, I used to always change the buttons on my clothes. It can actually make a huge difference in how an article of clothing looks.
Button, button, who's got the button? Wendy does! And they're lovely--certainly a lot nicer than the strictly utilitarian ones I have on my clothes!
What great timing! I just got done emailing you telling you that I might as well stay up now (I was going to go to bed and get up later). And then I checked for comments and saw yours. I originally used the word "Dots" for this, but after an hour I realized that it was a really poor choice. So I changed it to "Buttons" and immediately got more solves, or at least more solves than was the current trend on this one. I collect buttons and just love them!
Wendy, I LOVE buttons!! It was the first word I learned to say and apparently as a child I used to play with them all the time I even made strips of buttons just like these for my children when they were little!! Thanks so much!
leenielou, look at it this way. If these puzzles take you forever, then you are forever having fun. ;-)
These always take me forever, but they're so much fun!
