Old hankies #2

I have a few with crocheted inserts and edgings. Yes, we used to carry them. We were undressed without one. Now, you seldom see a cloth one. We even had multi-colored and patterned hankies.

Who knows? I MAY have the 80 year old pattern in some of her books... but I suspect she just used stitches she knew - in fact I remember seeing her work on hankies without a pattern.

Beautiful! I especially like the one with the pineapple stitch.

These came from MY G'ma, who made many of the edgings. She loved making them for her friends. Glad you enjoyed them.

My Great-Grandmother always carried some beautiful hankies. Thanks for the memory of my Grandmothers hankies.
