Thank you so much Bunnyfred. This is maybe the 4th generation from the original mama. I have a photo of when the bloom started on jigidi and you are right the bloom stem is now about 3.5 to 4 feet long. It has not bloomed for about 15 years. Am so glad to know the common and botanical name. Now to go google them!

The Botanical name is ornithogalum caudatum

The plant is a pregnant onion, what you have are the babies from a larger bulb that doesn't appear to be present any more. When mature it will put up a long stem with white flowers dotting the stem. I have had the flower stem get up to 4 feet long and continues to bloom but only on the top section of the stem.

the bloom is titled "1st bloom in 15 years" on jigidi. It is an indoor plant. The full plant is titled "mystery plant".

What color was the blossom ? Is it a bulb or a corm at the base of the stalks. Maybe an iris but more info is reqd.

I wish I did know its' name if you find out please let us know.
