Undoubtably I am, Cevas :-)They're gone, Squishy... it's just like: 50 years... poooof, gone :-)
I was 14 that year. Where have all those years gone?
The dinosaurs roamed the streets when I was 8 so you must be a little older than I am!
Glad you like his music, Cevas... When 'The Israelites' was a hit here, I must have been... 16 or so :-)The dinosaurs roamed the streets and the animals could talk. That I remember :-)
I don't recognize him or his music. But I listened to your links and his music is great!! Thank you Starlord.
Wel Squishy, try harder :-)You escaped again, Pk... :-)
Whew I'm glad that's over...
My theme tune, Star. You can get it if you really want, but you must try, try and try...
Right on, Squishy.... early reggae it was. One huge hit he had over here: The Israelites.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0MQQBlwSjoI also liked the B-side, the instrumental 'The Man'. Even though it's very repetitive, it's a great slow. I'm also touched by the purity of the instruments. Probably a Hammond organ and a couple of Fender guitars. Sounds like a Fender anyway :-) No need to put the table and chairs out of the way. One floortile is enough :-)))http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF4QxTFPOgs
I've wracked my brain and hit the keyboard, but no results. And then it hit me - not a soul singer, but early reggae - it's Desmond Dekker. Should have known that cheeky lop sided smile anywhere!
It's not 'Reet Petite' Wilson, Squishy...Ce n'est pas Harry Belafonte non plus, Petrados.
Et pourquoi pas Harry Belafonte?
Morning Starlord. He looks a bit like Jackie Wilson, but I don't think it's him. One of my all time favourite songs - the closer you get, the better you look, baby.
