I counted 15 flowers and buds the last time I checked. This photo does not show all of them. The smell in the evening is almost overpowering .... but oh so divine !

My mother-in-law gave me a plant way back, but for some reason it didn't survive.

Oh, dear, Connie . . . Izzy is 12 years old and the Captain is around 6 years old (+/- because I was told he was "1-1/2 to 2 years old" when I adopted him) so, something tells me that they aren't going to grow out of this behavior any time soon. I'll treasure the little monsters, regardless, but you lucked out with the Truff.

Yes, Kat, this is an indoor plant. The first time I saw a plant like that (in an office) it had one flower and I thought 'yeah, right, somebody put a plastic flower in there' ! So of course I had to check and touch and lo and behold it was real ! Of course I needed a clipping since I am a plant addict ... thus my by now huge Hoya. I actually tried to count again earlier and gave up at 21 flowers and buds ! No wonder one just about passes out in the late evening from the smell ! But it is heavenly !
Don't give the Truff any ideas ... I am glad he is as well behaved as he is considering that I 'bought the cat in the sack' by taking in a stray. He does eat the Spider-plant and he doesn't care if he knocks a plant over, but he does not use them for any further entertainment ! Maybe when you kitties mature a little more will you have the freedom of house-plants. :o))

Is this one of your indoor plants, Connie? This is just GORGEOUS -- and I can only imagine the fragrance. I have visions of little Izzy sitting atop any hanging plant, taste-testing the greenery as well as the blossoms. (Sigh) The Captain would "take care" of any plant that was sitting on a flat surface. (Double sigh) I would not trade my rotten little kitties for anything in the world; HOWEVER, someday I would dearly love to have indoor plants again ("they" have already demonstrated what they are capable of). That's okay . . . I have plant containers OUTSIDE of my windows so, I can still look out on pretty plants. This was a terrific photo and puzzle -- thank you for letting me dream! :)
