Heading west on route 302 we cross into New Hampshire. We are headed for the Presidential Range of the White Mountains and Mt. Washington. It's a beautiful day.
Janine, you sound like you know New England well. I was born in Massachusetts and while I didn't get to grow up there I've spent a lot of time there. So glad you are enjoying our trip. Thanks for your comment.
Each of the New England states is beautiful. They all have something worth seeing. New Hampshire is quaint little towns and then the beautiful White Mtn. range. I love your road trip, Ardy....thanks, Janine.
Thanks for clearing that up Barb, I thought this was just recently and was amazed how green everything looked. So really the weather is very much like ours, or even colder. Right now it's -2 here. I've been to Boston but it was for a bridge tournament so we didn't see much other than the inside of a hotel, but the drive down was beautiful. Too bad that I'm such a bad passenger and no one wants to drive with me. lol Thanks Ardy
You're very welcome, Edie. It was mid to late July when we made this trip. This area of New Hampshire is actually farther north than you are. I just checked a map to be sure.
Is it too late for you to visit, Barb? You're not that far away and it's so beautiful. Thanks for jumping in and answering Edie. Except for the fog and rain around Freeport and Brunswick we had very nice weather. I almost forgot our first day of driving ended with rain. Other than that it was quite nice. Thanks, Barb. Glad you are enjoying the trip.
I hope Ardy doesn't mind me jumping in here, Edie, but these holiday pics were from the summer of 2010. I just checked the temperature of Concord, NH and it's currently minus 9 celsius and they're expecting a rain / snow mix later today. :-)))
Great picture Ardy, I didn't realize that the climate there is so much milder than ours. Looks like everything is already green. Thanks for sharing with us.
Another state I wished I had visited, Ardy. I love New England and often regret not having seen Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Looks like you had wonderful weather as you travel on day 4. :-)
