It is quite a contrast isn't it, Jo! I can't think of another bird whose chicks are so dissimilar to the adults! You are welcome, my friend.
What a contrast between the hen and those adorable fuzzy looking black chicks!! Thanks for showing us!! :)
I actually thought of the Purple Swamp Hen when I saw this, lol! I have a few others to post. Until I Googled them, I had no idea there was such a variety of stamps! We use real stamps here but with emailing of business documents and online bill paying our postal service is hurting. In the news about a week ago, I heard that the post office is considering closing on Saturdays. Thanks, dear one. I thought this made a pretty good puzzle also!
Thought for a minute on seeing the thumbnail it was going to be a Purple Swamp Hen :-) Good puzzle, Jill - thanks. Some stamps are like small works of art, aren't they? If our collective postal services used real stamps instead of a printed slip it might encourage people to use snail mail. We have to ask for real stamps to be put on larger items at our PO. Who collects a slip of white paper!
I agree, puzzlepa, especially at this time when the postal service is struggling to survive. So many people send emails and ecards. Perhaps these types of stamps would entice people to use snail mail!
we should have more native birds on stamps, brighten up mailings
You are very welcome, tizme! I'm glad you liked it.
Beautiful stamp, enjoyed doing it, thanks.
I thought so too! Thanks for your comment, Trish!... :-)
COOL STAMP! Thanks :)
