Well, I certainly hope you feel better soon Sue. There's an old home remedy that I have used many times over the years. 2 T water, 2 T apple cider vinegar, 2 t ginger paste, 1 tsp of cayenne. Up the cayenne if you can stand it. Mix and drink as needed. Word of warning, this mix is spicy hot, but it generally works pretty well. The cayenne and ginger relieve inflammation in the lungs which will usually ease up the congestion. You could also try tomato tea.
aishahm-it was a little inhaler. Just did the opposite and made my throat swell rather than go down, so that won't be happening again. It is my usual February bronchitis. We are old friends, LOL. Better today, swelling has gone back down some. Starla-hard to get an appt when you work 7:50-3:30 and the doc only has office hours from 9-1 as he is nursing homes after lunch. The lady at Urgent Care sees me as often as he does. I'll be fine.
How are you feeling today? Maybe you need to see your regular doctor. My husband was using an inhaler but is now doing breathing will a machine that does this twice a day. It seems to work better.
Sue, was it the take home inhaler or the nebulizer they hook up to the oxygen. They both tend to make people very jittery and cause your heart to race. It usually wears off after a few hours. If you did the nebulizer, they can adjust the amount of albuterol so it won't make you feel so icky. I have one at home and I learned very quickly that it was better to split the medicine up into two treatments.
Yes, it started that way, then wandered down to my lungs which have always been very week. The antibiotics have pretty much cleaned things up. It is the wretched cough that is still hanging on so long. Most of the teachers have it. I had forgotten how sick I stayed all winter when I taught. The last 2 years I have been so much healthier, but these months on end of working have dragged me down. I need the $ though, so I'm doing what I have to do. Sigh. I am just tired of coughing and tired of being tired. LOL On that note, I am off to bed.
Hi Starla. I have been both ill and working every day. Going to bed early and spending weekends napping, so not much time left for Jigidi. Enjoy it. Between my 3 profiles, you should find plenty to enjoy. If you like large puzzles I am sure you enjoy Den1 and Sachi (her old profile name).
