It makes me think of a version of hide-&-seek I used to play when my children were young. They go to hide but the seeker (me!!) has a coffee or a peaceful few minutes reading (or whatever) before you start looking :-) Of course that only works a few times. lt looks like the deer is thinking "are they EVER going to start looking for me?"
