Alas, I have only visited Ft. Myers to see where the Red Sox go for spring training. And you were close on the sport they play, Phyllis. They play baseball which is played with a hardball - quite hard and smaller than a softball. But the rules for both sports are pretty much the same.

And, yup, Andy. We had a terrific house right on the ocean. All the women would love to return when we all can afford it again.

You had a Womanly in Florida? I'm impressed!

Fort Myers! my youngest sister lives there with her ex-marine husband. Do I understand correctly one of you lives there? Well, small world... the Red Sox I take it are a softball team, or what I grew called 'rounders'. You might not believe this, but hope you do, those of us in summer right now do spare a thought, a few actually, for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, knowing that it will shortly be our autumn, and although not as harsh as what yours sounds like, I remember the northern winters well:-)

By the way, nice puzzle Pat!

I saw a video of some Bostonians singing Sweet Caroline as the truck was being loaded - probably a distraction so those refugees could get on board undetected. In re Jackie's picture: she took it several years ago when we were on the Womanly on St Augustine Beach, mid morning in October.

Thanks Pat! Now when exactly did Jackie take this shot, because there seems to be a "seasonal ambiguity" about this scene. Lake Ontario, right? Could be anywhere from March to November, dune grass being very resilient. No sunbathers, hmmm... But in any case, this is quite welcome, since what is going on outside RIGHT NOW would never be mistaken for anything other than a cruel, vindictive, heartless winter. BTW, the Red Sox equipment trucks left Boston for Ft. Meyers yesterday. You may want to get there for their arrival. No doubt a number of 'refugees' stowed away on board and will be seeking asylum upon their arrival! ;-)
