Too much of a good thing, I suppose, if you have to clean up after them, Toto.

Normally I would comment about such a nice tree. However, having spent the last three days in leave raking, it's hard to see the tree past the leaves. Thanks for the post.

Not so much. Just the bermuda grass. I guess I misunderstood, and I thought it was too early for it to go dormant. Thanks.

The grass is not dying, Tex. It's just going dormant. It will all be brown soon. Does the grass die back where you live?

texasstar7

Gorgeous tree, but why is the grass dying? Just parts of it. Strange.

Thanks, cevas.

Great picture of a beautiful tree ! Thanks, JC.

I noticed. That is the way some of the trees in this area are. People plant the flowering pear trees along their driveways and some have changed some haven't and some are prettier than the one right next to it. They usually all change about the same time.

Thanks, Pat and chickie. This pin oak is redder than most.
Notice that the green grass is slowly disappearing?

I love pin oaks. Nice little tree jcarroll.

Looks about like mine. Almost the same size. They are pretty I think.
