So delicate, Thanks Aggie!
Crocus! What a nice sight!!!
Thanks warbler, Ami and Adriana - good to be back posting. Yes, all is well - a few minor setbacks with Lola but that is all and we're working on those :o))
Nice corol this crocus
They're delightful, and you even got the little spider in the pic too. So, Aggie are you alright???
Great photo, Aggie-good to see you back.
Thanks JC - I'm still taking lots of garden shots. Afraid I don't get out at all - so just enjoying and solving puzzles. Hopefully when the winter comes, they can be enjoyed then too.
Very nice, Aggie! And welcome back!
How pretty and unusual - I love this site - I learn so much!
Thanks, lyndee, Toto, roseh. True, they have just the green leaves in the spring, they die back and then the flowers appear in the Fall. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colchicum_autumnale - aka Autumn Crocus.
Could be a spider. Colchicum, not a true crocus, but sure adds some colour at this time of the year. They are very easy to grow. but a bit backwards, leaves come in spring/summer then dry up the flowers in fall.
Looks like you might have a bee hiding in there. I didn't realize that crocus wasn't just a spring flower. :)
