Thanks, dondi

The monument is to Sir George St Paul, who died in 1613. So this is 17th-century. The diminutive and secluded church, which was started in the 12th-century (but is mostly 14th-century), houses other monuments - http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=39961713
The couple are posed in what is commonly known as, the toothache position.

Love it! Interesting topic, very nice picture, and a fun puzzle. What vintage was the monument?
