This is a typical piece of Arazona petrified wood. The bright agate colors in the wood are amazing and make it some of the most desirable petrified wood in the world. This piece is about 3ft across and 3ft tall. you can see another piece of the same tree behind it.

Agate wood Jaques:-) Lyndee, They have signs up now saying "If you even step off the trails, it's a 75.00 fine--if you pick up anything, its a 300.00 fine". They have cameras up and they check you and your car when you leave the gate.

So they still have some left? When we were there like 30 some yrs ago, they were afraid it would disappear as too many people wanted pieces of it.
