The Leigh-Pemberton House, Castle Square, Lincoln - 1st Jul 2008

100 years later, in 1643, it survived the English Civil War between the Royalists and the Parliamentarians.

In 1549 it saw the spire crashing down from the central tower of the Cathedral, which up until then was the tallest building in the world.

I did, of course, survive two World Wars.
