I too checked up "pearlescent" today - we are so used to inventing words on Jigidi, it's better to check out...

I have to add that it was funny to read the other comments that used the word "pearlescent". I just commented on another puzzle and used the same word, and spell-check informed me that there was no such word! I ended up Googling it just to makes sure that I was spelling it correctly, and I was. So I had a little giggle when I saw it here! If I'd solved this first, I wouldn't have questioned myself! :-)))
