Aptly named, I see. Thank you, Maria, for your lovely shots!
And I am weeping in the wind going across this thing. What a struggle for the old girl. Think hiking in the summer is easier though I do like the lovely scenery in winter. Many thanks for the great photos and for dragging my butt up the hills again. You can just roll me down and I'll become a giant snowball. Till the next time, Maria. :)
Spectacular. Love the set Maria, thanks. They are all 4 great.
Looks like a lot of ice EF, quite a hike, glad I was inside here!! Thanks.
Such an interesting scene. It's nice to be hiking again. Thanks for letting us join you!
An apt name for the cliff. Keep on treking, ef!
Hi Snooker,Here we are first hike for 2013 and may the Lord give us health and strength to kip on trekking! We didn't join the group from Canmore today, they were going too far for us to drive from Calgary so we hiked Prairie View by Barrier Dam on highway 40 in K.Country.You have done this hike few times before, I hope you are up to it again! :)We almost turned back as we were crossing the Dam, it was so windy but we persevered knowing it would be better once in the trees. It's a very popular hike so I was glad to see it was snow packed, I much rather walk with crampons than snowshoes. The temperature fluctuated like mad from +8 to minus 8 and settled at +2C. Glad we had some sunshine:)I hope to get some photos from the group; I will post them if they do. They were going to Stanley Glacier.Till next week Snooker! Keep well my friend.
