Thank you for your note Li. As they walked onto the field they played The Maple Leaf Forever which was almost our national anthem for many years before O Canada ... so I did get a bit teary.
There must be a lump i everyone's throat, Cathy. I think I would have eared up if I had been there.
Thank you Jacques and Floyd. : )
Waiting for the real show to start with anticpation. Thanks Cathy for the fine introduction.
nice picture Cathy
Hi Lorna. Yes, that's right ... tiered benches. I'm glad you are going to watch this show with us!! : ) Do you have your sunhat and sunglasses?
Lovely weather and lots of spectators to see a fine display - great! (Bleachers? Some kind of tiered stand perhaps?!) Looking forward to the series Cathy!!!
It's on your list Laura ... so it WILL happen!!!!
Ah ... another encourager!! Thank you Suzy. : )
Ohhh..I want to go!
A striking sight! Keep the pictures coming!
: )))) The show will take place on the field that the seated people are looking at. The riders are still on the street beside the park. So most people are turning around to see them ride in. They rode through the city streets and the sound of the hooves (hoofs?... my dictionary says both are right!!) really brought people to their doors and windows!!
Cathy, I thought that you would take a photo of only brown hats and lances just for me! LOL! This is way better than I expected! I can see horses, too! (Psst! Should we tell the people in front that they are looking the wrong way?)
Lances and brown hats!!! Thanks Jim. They had constructed lots of bleachers so it was possible to really see the show!! I have enough pictures for ... a series!
Neat photo, Cathy!
