Oh, I can... during boarding school holidays when there wasn't time or it was too dangerous for the Children of the Empire to sail back to parents. Most of my holidays for 5 years was spent in just such a mansion. It was called a working holiday & as there were no longer any servants we all pitched in for meals & laundry, market garden & dairy & such. As it was out in the country the Widow owner ran a Tuck Shop where we could buy necessaries.
