$12.00 each? That's fantastic! Your very lucky when it comes to buying antiques, just like my Mother! I've never seen this aquamarine stretch glass that you speak of, maybe you could send a few pics of this glass for us to see? The vase that you won, is it also made of this glass? Also, what exactly does three-legged mean? I've never heard that term before!
Monica and Quilt, I picked up 12 set yesterday for $12.00, a couple of them are the three-legged ones and some are very pretty. That is the cheapest I have purchased any in years. I haven't unpacked them yet to get a good look at them. I bought them at a local (1 hour away) on-line auction site. I also collect aquamarine stretch glass vases and I won a 26 1/2" tall beauty for only $22.50 that never goes for less than $60-100 on ebay. It was my day.Glad to have others to talk to about a passion. Glad you enjoy the Pinknblack from the Past, and i love your posts.
I love this set, too! I collect cups, saucers and the luncheon plate. They are not antiques so I use them for special occasions. Thanks for sharing.
I think it's a great idea to collect antique teacups and saucers! You just never know how much they'll be worth many years down the line! My Mother goes to all these far away antique shops and buys these teacup and saucers and then she looks them up in the computer and finds out all the info on them and how much they are worth right now! She has like 5 or 6 of them that are worth thousands of dollars each and yet she only paid like 10 or 20 dollars for them. To my way of thinking, that's wonderful! Heck, go find more! L.O.L.
Monica, I love teacups. I was eleven when I bought a pair off blue willow at a rummage sale. That got me hooked. Now most of the sets I buy are pink and black, imagine that!
Absolutely lovely pinknblack! My Mother collects antique teacups and saucers! Thanks for sharing!
