The Rolling Stones release "Angie", which will top the Billboard chart and reach #5 in the UK. At the time, the Mick Jagger / Keith Richards composition was rumored to have been written about David Bowie's first wife Angela, the actress Angie Dickinson, Keith Richards' newborn daughter Dandelion Angela, and Marianne Faithfull. However, in his 2010 memoir Life, Richards said that he had chosen the name at random when writing the song, before he knew that his baby would be named Angela or even knew that his baby would be a girl.

Love love the stones - saw them at a concert in a huge stadium in south africa - only time i saw them way in front of my eyes was when i sat on my friend's husband's shoulders - music and atmosphere was Electric - 6 months later it was aired on tv and i actually got to see the Show xx was awesome - thx for a great memory of what seems like a million years ago - probably over 30!!!!!

You all could of said he was married to Minnie Mouse and I wouldn't know better. And some change wife's or husband's so often it's had to keep track.

I love the Stones and "Angie" is one of my favorites. Didn't know David Bowie's first wife was Angie Dickinson.( I'm not a big fan of her.) But then I only followed the music more then their personal life. Till now, you got me hooked on all the great info you give us Sir Joe.

Many many great songs over the years, but my favorite album would have to be the obscure and never mentioned "Their Satanic Majesties Request" released in '67 (?). In High School my buds and I would get together every weekend and get drunk listening to this album. Good times, scary times.

"Why don't we sing this song all together
Open our heads let the pictures come
And if we close all our eyes together
Then we will see where we all come from"
