It IS a beauty!! Thanks, Chickie!
Thank you Patti, Suzy, Gene, kokkie and Michelle. Sounds like a beautiful scene Michelle.
Sandy, I was once fortunate enough to be driving through the mountains in Tennessee (heading south to my dad's house in Florida and taking our own scenic route) and as we came around one of those tight corners, we saw a waterfall with a Redbud tree in full bloom just beside it. It was an exquisitely beautiful scene and one that I will remember always. (I only wish I could have stopped to take a photograph but it was not safe enough to do so.) This is such a beautiful tree. Thank you for posting this lovely photograph and for evoking the memory for me.
I LOVE this photo!!! Thank you so much! :-)
Fantastic tree with all the color blooming from it :-))))))
Thank you Hanne and Laura. My redbud is very pitiful this year. It is VERY old and it looks dead except for about 3 branches that have very few flowers on them. I have noticed that most of them in this area are suffering. Maybe last Summer's drought has something to do with it.
What a beautiful tress and background for it. I like this a lot! Looking forward to my redbud opening. It seems to still be sleeping, though.
Beautiful!! Thanks so very much Sandy!!
Thank you roseheather and morris. The farther north they are, the more protection they need Rose. When I lived in northern Illinois, they definitely needed to be protected from the west winds in the winter. I lost a few over the years up there.
Love it, thanks chickie!
Lovely. Thanks for this image. ; )Interesting to see one sitting out in the open. I thought I had read that they grow better if in a protected area. Hum.
