Great picture Pat! Sucks me right in (yes, ol' melancholy light...) . That and Gayle's wistful recollections had me sort of drifting off down the road. What else needs to said?
You're very welcome.
You bet! It looks exactly like the driveway leading out of my husband's now-dead parents' property. That was south of the Kittatinny Ridge (Blue Mountain) and closer to Philadelphia--totally different weather patterns and climate. Sorta brings back memories. Just off to the left, in the dark spot by the rut, you could always find little bits of broken glass probably from the 1920s. No matter how much you picked up, more would always surface with the next rain. Puddles never settled in the ruts 'cause they were stony enough... Thanks for posting. :-)
Redbud is one of the things I miss about not living in PA anymore. It was one of my favorites. And I'd love to be walking down that rutted road right now, wouldn't you? :-)
I'd give my eyeteeth to have flowering redbud blooming in the woods around here. Beautiful puzzle with some wishful thinking thrown in. Thanks!
You're very welcome. ProfesoradeCanto!
Beautiful picture. Thanks!
