Thank you Dave. And the roof has a fancy edge !! I like this building too.
Double chimneys and double window dormers! Nice building, Cathy!
Thank you Brian. Yes, there were wealthy people living there ... and lots of not-so-wealthy people too! : )
Lovely picture, Montreal must have been a wealthy city!
: ))))) Thank you Floyd !
Nice picture of the sky along with that building below it.Thanks Cathy.
Thank you Cinder!!! I was actually taking a picture of the sky ... the building just happened to be there! : )))Your notes are always welcome Suzy!!! : )
Two nice buildings! Thanks, Cathy.
A grand old building and the sky is very pretty.
Tak for din bemærkning Mogens. Jeg synes, det er en meget flot bygning også.
Thank you Ank. Yes, they are called dormer windows and they are very popular in Canada too. Ellen's comments are always good. I think she knows a lot about architecture. Thank you Lorna. Yes, it is on Mount Royal with a great view of the city and surrounding areas. P.S. Thank you for your letter!! I forgot to ask if you were afftected by the flooding in the UK .... but I guess not or you would have mentioned it. Thank you Jim. I couldn't resist that blue sky! : )
Another beautiful building! Thanks, Cathy!
Lovely setting for a handsome building.
It's a beautiful house with very nice decorations. In NL we often have this kind of rooms with windows (like Ellen-putter says) . We call it "dakkapel" my dictionary says "dormer". It makes a room with a sloping roof wider.
Thank you Beekay. Yes, Montreal is very nice in the autumn !!Thank you for your note Putter. It almost looks like the chimney occupies that space.
Unusual how they joined the pairs of windows together on the upper floor. Nice way to add square footage to those rooms.
Lovely building and nice touch of autumn color too ❁
Thank you Laurajane. Yes, I think this one would blend in nicely over there! : )Thank you Oddio. Yes, I agree!☺ Thank you Agnes! ☺
Nice house ... thanks Kathy ☺
This reminds me more of houses I have seen in the UK. Nice, Cathy!
