whatnauts, no, not that I know of (re a regional expression)....but for some reason, it sounded very funny. I actually agree with you about the open clam shell....and I chuckled to myself when I made the title "Peach pits" instead. I was in a silly mood at the time.

whatnauts

Oh dear, I hope it isn't a regional naughty expression. Personally, I think this looks like an open clam shell, albeit a colourful one. Perhaps I would have been better off posting that in my first comment!!!

Mandy, there's amazing information in your article. Thanks so much for finding and posting it.
On another note, it wasn't my necklace that broke since I have no necklaces!

whatnauts, that comes out sounding very funny- "I love your peach pits." hehehe

whatnauts

I love your peach pits. Wonderful colours and design.

monza006

Ahem, Wendy, I think your necklace broke... I see 2 blue/black pearls in your peach pits. Thanks for a colourful and fun puzzle :~)
Aparently these were used in WW1 gas masks...

Hey, I like my title, Ms. Pat! :-)

pdevredis

This is so beautiful--and the title is just too funny! At least you didn't call it Lousy Peach Pits! :-)))
