These were our parents.

What others gave along with how unified our country was in WWII –great guys when our country was great.

What in God's name have we let happen ?

I guess we are the last generation to see, or even remember anything like these!

Whatever happened?

70 years of ”progressive” education happened!

Political correctness (or "re-education") happened,
Lack of God's name happened,
Lack of personal responsibility happened,
Lack of personal integrity and honesty happened,
Lack of respect and loyalty to our country happened,
Lack of being an American happened.

Did all of these things die along with common sense?

I for one am still proud to be an American!

Rebb2 : First - thank you for your many years of service. I, too, served, was in a STRAC unit, and ready to deploy overseas at a moments notice from Ft. Hood when JFK was assassinated. Second - When I mentioned profile, I was addressing my comments to 'freetime' as that is who posted the puzzle and whose profile is also posted and public. Rest assured, I would never violate your privacy.

To bbandit who responded right after me, in regards to my profile, likes and love of country. First off, my profile is not public information, but my likes and love of country are self explanatory. I'm a retired Navy veteran of 27 years of service from a specialized naval unit which is now classified as a Special Operations Unit. During my career, myself and my fellow troops were the ones that got us qualified as a SpecOps Unit as a result of the may missions that we undertook and completed. I ended my career with three personal awards from the powers to be. This should explain likes and love of country of this Deplorable Retiree.
Not to get too political, but as others have leaned to in their comments, this country is in great danger and one should really consider the future of this country before casting their next vote.
I maybe and old dog in some eyes, but this old seadog still has the will to fight for my country.

Millions of people were murdered in the ww2 and millions of others had their lives ruined forever.
This was because of a handful of lunatics in the so called government in that era.Thanks to our men and women of those times it was halted.We could be faced with the very same thing again.We may have to stand up and kick butt again.So lets wake up and be ready for what may come our way.All lives matter!!!! I love Canada & the USA as well.
