I live in Ontario Canada about an hour north of Toronto. I sure wish I was still in my 50's and yes there is a lot of work for someone who is in their 60's with an old house, but this is the dream home you could say. I will take some pictures of my new gardens mid summer. Have a great day Alice!
You must be under 50 to take on such a chore between an old house and new gardens. I on the other hand hesitate to move, as I have invested so much in my garden. I bought my first house at 56. That is to old for your first house. Plus I am an artist. Artists can only care so much about their home base- it all becomes studio sooner or later. the art is more important and the house can fall down around you. Ask my neighbors, who don't like artists or trees with leaves to rake up. Ah to be a romanic. Where are that there is snow ? Indeed, I lived in Chicago for 15 years- I know snow. Now I back in MD. who are total whimps about it. If there is a sighting of a snowflake in Ohio, MD schools close. Looking forward to new puzzles of new gardens.
Thanks Alice, however this is no longer my garden. We moved into a very old home in March and I have a blank canvas to plan new gardens. It's going to be a busy summer!
Just did your garden, so beautiful. Must be one of the best parts of life, having your own flower garden. I have one. but wish my yard was smaller...to many weeds. I don't even bother with weed killer anymore. Nothing works !
