The tunnel to Detroit wasn't too far north of this picture. Used to take the bus over on Saturdays when I was about 12 to 16 years old - alone. Would shop on Woodward Ave. and come home - usually with something hidden somewhere. Learned smuggling at a young age.
Happy you folks enjoyed them.
A piece of history.
I have a good friend from Detroit (no, it isn't Bob Seger, dammit!), and I'm emailing him this pic. He lives in Fla. now. Thanks!
Love it Jan.
Oh, yes. I'm a first generation Scot, and I can remember my mother going to Windsor at least once a month to get her meat pies and blood sausage, and of course I went along. We took the bus, and it was always an adventure for a little girl.

Wonderful vintage photo, too. Thanks, Jan!
