Solve puzzle
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

William Wordsworth

I've posted four puzzles today.

Narcisy jsou moje oblíbené květiny, Irena. Tak velké pole z nich dělá mi velkou radost. ♥♥♥

Daffodils are my favourite flowers, Irena. So, a big field of them makes me very happy. ♥♥♥

A pity that they don't last longer Nev ,I watch mine lovingly as they come out as I know I won't enjoy them for long but sometimes we're away too !

Jackie, they telegraph to U.S. and European folk that Spring is on its way. By the number of flowers here, Spring is going to be HUGE. :-))) ♥♥♥

Andie, we did the poem in primary school, before going to High School. It impressed me so much, I made Daffodils my favourite flower then, and this love has never diminished.
Marge grew me some in a large bucket this past Winter, but they flowered mostly whilst we were away on holidays in Queensland, so I didn't get to enjoy them as much as I would have liked. ♥♥♥

Every two years in spring they have a daffodils festival in Gerardmer (Vosges) which sadly means thousands of them will be picked up to decorate the floral floats ,
They grow everywhere there, for some reason ,and I remember taking so many photos of them in a field overlooking the lake two or three years ago..
As for the poem our English teacher made us learn it by heart (yes we did English literature in High School then,no more now ) and daffodils are for ever linked to it.
Thanks Nev for bringing back so many happy memories of my school years.

Hilary, it's all happening for you. It'll be Spring before you know it. ♥♥♥

Oh yes, The rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, very well known. I heard today that the snowdrops are popping up, soon the primrose will appear in the woods,

Janet, it is indeed amazing. I've never seen so many Daffodils. These must be for an export market, because that's an awful lot of Daffodils to go in one or two vases! :-))) ♥♥♥

Jacki, and here I thought that was a closely guarded secret. Who let on? :-))) ♥♥♥

Pasta, it is my aim to please, so I'm glad you liked this effort. ♥♥♥

Ginger, always terrific to see you, and I do hope your health has improved.
Yes, this picture fitted the Theme well, and I just couldn't help myself accompanying the picture with the first verse of one of my favourite poems.
Greetings from Nev/Marge/Barry Koala. ♥♥♥

Hilary they are always a 'welcoming' flower, heralding Spring. "I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud" was a poem I first heard in primary school, when I was aged about nine or ten. I not only love the poem, but I've loved Daffodils ever since.
I have another favourite poem, which you've no doubt heard of too. It is called 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. But that one's quite a bit longer. ♥♥♥

Jean, I'm aware that in areas of the U.K. and the U.S. where it snows, Daffodils flowering is the first sign of Spring. Here in Oz where it doesn't snow, we just enjoy seeing them. But in the warmer areas of our country, they are not seen. Janet cannot grow them as it's just too hot where she lives. ♥♥♥

Pammi, it is quite incredible for me. I think one Daffodil is truly wonderful, but to see thousands makes me euphoric. ♥♥♥

Beekay, I'm in heaven here. Daffodil is my favourite flower, so to see a field of them.......... ♥♥♥

cinderfire

Beautiful for theme and wonderful poem to go with it. Thanks Neville. ;-))

lilygirl

My favourite poem. The daffodils are already in bloom in Cornwall,UK, the fields will soon look like this. In sheltered spots where the sun hits the ground, they have been out since Christmas. Always so bright to see them.

Lovely picture of one of my favourite flowers which herald the start of Spring here in the U.K. and hopefully warmer weather. Greetings, Neville, Marge and Barry Koala. xx

Pammi

Yes, I totally agree BeeKay. What a beautiful sight to please the eye. It would be lovely to actually be there to see these gorgeous daffodils close up. Great picture, Nev. ♥

BeeKay2

What a beautiful view this would be to see. A field of golden daffodils♥
