Oh, I think it's wonderful that you guys have chickens. I didn't know you really had them ChickieMama! I thought that was just a joke. I'd love that, fresh eggs and them cackling all the time. I bet it's fun.

The place where I usually buy my baby chicks isn't carrying them this year. She's OK, and not alone. The Peacock keeps her company.

Sorry to hear Peahen4. The darn weasels are the hardest to keep out. They can get thru the chicken wire. A weasel did get one of mine before the raccoon got to them. I hope you will be getting more.

Some critter got the others during the daytime or early evening. Went to close up the coop, and only one was left. The one I have is very friendly.

Something got my chickens. I had 6 pets. They were very friendly. A raccoon tore away the fabric netting over their yard and took them in the night. I have to put chicken wire over it for next spring and then I will start all over. What happened to yours?
