PS: Never seen purples ones before!
I don't much like the green ones - they're a little bitter, I find!
THanks for all the purple pepper comments, folks! I will go by there this coming Saturday and will stop and get a purple one and cut it and take a photo and tell you about the taste!
Nothing like variety! I LOVE going to the farms in the valley and picking out "new" things. Purple peppers are great, LJ!
Lyndee, it says 3 are sweeter than 4. :)http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/924436Purple is new to me too.
Great photo. Not only have I never seen a purple one, but the pale yellow peppers are a bit like hens teeth over here I think!
Must admit I have never seen purple ones either!
I usually buy the red ones, I've never seen the purple ones either, Dave.
Has anyone tasted a purple one? To me, the yellow, orange, and red taste different from one another -- I wonder if the purple ones do, too.
WOW! Warbs, I've never seen the purple ones either! They look fabulous here. Thanks and hugs, Janet
Roasted Red one yum.............
I love their shiny skins Dave:))) I've never seen a purple one before either - and I usually buy the heaviest red ones I can find!!
Don't ever recall seeing purple ones either.
I think the green ones are more common by far and therefore less expensive, Ginger. These were all the same price. I never heard that before, Lyndeeand I'll probably never forget it and I'll probably look at the curvy things every time forever now!Poblanos are probably my favorite Trudy, but they all have their place in different uses, to me. Thanks.I thought so Ellen I hated to touch them it looked so nice.Me either Laura, I should of gotten one just to try.Your right Floyd its a nice display!OK. Thanks Barb, I'd never tried the purple one before.
They all are nice and sweet :) Thank you Dave!
Quite the variety of peppers. Makes a colorful display. Thanks Dave.
I never saw purple ones before!
Lovely!! What a beautiful display, Dave!
Discrimination? I like the hot green ones best -- poblanos, Hatch green, jalapenos, serranos. And the red bells. I've never had a purple one but would be more than willing to try them.
I read somewhere that the more curvy things on the bottom. the milder the pepper...... (In this picture, I see four on the yellow ones). ..... I always choose the four over the three. :)
They all look fresh and wonderful Dave. Wonder why the separation? ♠♣♦♥ Let's cut the cards for the answer. LOL :O))
