Why are you reporting this puzzle?

On my way to the Tram today I walked past this small city park. There were mainly purple crocuses basking in the sun....

Impie

Hi bev, I'm in The Hague, Holland. Six month ago Faye (gemstone) and her husband were on holiday in Europe and they also visited my country for one week. We met up on a Monday and we had a wonderful day.....

bevpuzzler8

Oh, Impie, thank you for this story ....I think it is so cute. I don't know if I ever asked..where are you? Beverly (Bev.)

Impie

Honeylemon, you weren't to know as you joint Jigidi just a few days ago.
Your grandmother mentioned you in a comment at my puzzle yesterday and how you fell in love with Goofie. I think you're officially the youngest member of his Fanclub so welcome to Jigidi and also welcome to Goofie's Fanclub. ☺☺☺

Impie

Thanks for explaining Faye and Carrie...♥♥

You've got a good memory how to pronounce Goofie, Faye... LOL

To Bevpuzzler8... I knew who Goofy was all along but in 2001 we decided it was just a lovely name for a very lovely kitty and to make it special not with a "Y" but with "ie". (Although with "ie" was a typo of my hubby in the first place when he signed up Goofie for Animal Health Insurance, but it looked so funny and special we kept it like that!)
P.S. we used to have a Guinea Pig called 'Speedy" and we all know Speedy Gonzales is a Mouse Cartoon character....but what's in the name? LOL

gemstone

Don'y worry about it, bev...sleep tight...see you tomorrow. :)

bevpuzzler8

OOPS....COLOR ME STUPID.....Sorry ....I'll be more careful next time. Thank you for the heads up.
2-27-17..12:20 A.M.------good night everyone!!!

bevpuzzler8, do look at gemstone's post. Goofie is not American and his name does not come from the root you located in Wiki.

gemstone

bev...although to English-speaking people "Goofie" looks like "Goofy" it is not pronounced the same way in Dutch. If I remember correctly what Impie said Goofie is actually pronounced with a "throaty "h" like in the toast "l'chaim"...and the "oo" is a long o sound. Hopefully, Impie will correct me if my memory has got it wrong. LOL ;)

honeylemon...Goofie is kept very safe in his own garden and watched over by Impie or his Big Bro'...he is loved very much and not allowed to roam in places like this. Plus, he is a very shy boy and would be absolutely frantic with all the noises and people in a public area. :)

honeylemon

Oh........

Impie

Not sure what you mean honeylemon....Goofie doesn't come anywhere near this place! ☺☺

honeylemon

Goofie must by happy ;-)

Impie

Thank you Pammi, Atsutsa, becpuzzlere8, Faye, Carrie and soo. It's not often I walk this side of this lane but the sun was shining on that side so I decided to cross the road! ☺
The crocuses really got my eye... I was glad I had my camera with me in my bag. ☺♥☺

soo

A carpet of crocuses ☺♥☺

gemstone

I know...but I didn't want to confuse with dialect ("non-English")! LOLOL ;)))

Oh, that's so beautiful....I love it when parks do more than grass, trees, and pathways.

Pammi

How lovely this little park is, Impie. It looks to be a beautiful day for you also. ♥☺♥
