Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Some people aspire to visit every city that has a baseball stadium. Some want to travel to those that have a building by their favorite architect like I.M.Pei's addition to the Louvre in Paris. This article contains a map of all the futuristic homes built in the late '60s and early '70s that are still standing all over the world. (The one above is in Espoo, Finland.) Pack your spacesuit and be on your way.

I couldn't figure out what that green towel was doing there. And sheesh, you'd think they would have torn the toilet paper off cleanly at the perforations before snapping a photo. How crass.

Bommom

I thought that little alcove looked like an open shower (no door). The kind where you step into the space and then even farther (to the left) to get under the water. I even looked at the green something toward the bottom and wondered if it was a folded rubber shower mat, draped over a bit of a sill that keeps the water from flowing out onto the floor. We'll just have to buy the house the next time it's on the market so we can find out.

Bill_I_Am

That is odd. The little alcove on the other side of that wall looks like a place where a toilet might go, but why put the paper roll on the other side? It's a mystery to me!

Bommom

Unique, that's for sure. Most unusual, though, is the toilet paper hanger under the sink, by the shower. Is the toilet out of sight, across from the sink, so that one has to lean forward and reach under the sink to rip off a piece? I hope that doesn't mean you have to half stand up before reaching the paper. No wander the price dropped so drastically. :-)

Breathe slowly, Marilee. I think you are hyperventilating.

We have our own futuristic home from 1963 in the foothills outside of Denver known as the Sleeper House. It's famous for featuring prominently in Woody Allen's sci-fi comedy "Sleeper."

It's real name is the "Sculpted House" and it is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Let us know, Gayle. If it's red, there may be a puzzle in it. ;-)

Bommom

Interesting. I thought we had one in our area that I recalled from eons ago. Jack said, no, it wasn't that big, but resembled these. He thought it had been used as a chicken coop. I'll have to drive by there to see what I can see. Fun one, Pat.

It would make me claustrophobic as well, Andy.

Scott, I have an overpowering urge to grab it in the middle and start working out.

AScott

There is a double one of these in our town of Carlisle, OH.
They have been there many years and have always been something cool to see.

Enjoy,
Scott.

It might be fun to stay in one overnight or maybe for a weekend, but claustrophobia would start to settle in real fast. Thanks Pat!

Tincup

No Pat. The spacesuit is what is important to me right now. The spacesuit.

patw

Hi, Marilee. It's in the article I cited above. at the bottom.

Tincup

I'm already in my spacesuit Pat. Now what is this photo you want us to study?

patw

Bears? Raccoons? Foxes? They could be alien to some folks.

Cool residence - I wonder who your neighbours might be???

patw

I see there's a nice little fixer-upper in Royse City, Texas. Bet you could pick that one up on the cheap.

skpy

Where do I place an order?
