Yes, mine were made in England before they started making it here. I love this set, especially at Thanksgiving. You're right, sly is what you have to be to find quail. They're so pretty I wouldn't want to eat them anyway. Thanks.

WOW! COOL! I go away from home once a week to check on my businesses. When I'm gone I have very limited time to play on here, and tex7 is where I usually start with my precious moments of fun because your puzzles Are fun. AND I'm really glad I did that tonight. One of my businesses is antiques which I've had 25 years, so I know Spode and Spode IS quality. Like Wedgewood or Limoges. This is a very desirable border pattern. It looks hand painted in the center. Usually but not always, on the back you can find small painted initials which belong to the person who painted it. And on the plate itself on the back you may be able to find letters pressed into the actual surface that would tell you which location it was actually made. Its a beauty Tex, BUT, My quail are not that easy. They are very smart. If you want to eat my quail on your quail, you'll have to be smart like a fox!! Thanks for sharing, Tex.

This is my china. It's Spode Woodland, and yesterday, Warbler posted a quail that looks just like this. Now it's my dinner! Thanks, Robbie & CM.
