Dank je, A3ana.
Mooie hazelaar puzzel
It`s a shrub Roseheather. This one is Hamamelis Mollis. The flowers smell VERY nice, and are some 5 cm big. The shrub grows 3 meters high. There is an American variety as well that`s called Hamamelis Virginia. But that one has much smaller flowers.
This Hamamelis Mollis is called Toverhazelaar in Dutch, which means Witch Hazel (also Wych Hazel). The flowers appear in February, on the naked branches
You`re welcome Graciela. Maybe it doesn`t grow in Canada. The American hamamelis has much smaller flowers.
Interesting plant. Is the item a flower or a seed head?
Beautiful, never seen one of these before! Thanks
