Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Yes they do....and I hope they will grow and bloom this spring in the pot too.
Until last year I planted the bulbs in the ground but I had to put gaze around them to prevent our neighbour kitty from digging them up and 'water' them in the process. I decided to plant them in a pot this time!

Oh yes Mrs. soo I'm very happy to know my catnip grows again! I've been pulling on the dried branches that's when mum saw the green at the bottom! ☺ We have had several days and nights with frost this winter so I hope the little white flies haven't survived the cold and will stay well away from my catnip this year.....(and mums' roses too of course) ....keeping everything crossed!!! ♥
I hope Milly will like her new fresh catnip like I do!

Thanks soo, I'll see what I can do for his catnip, I like the flowers too, Goofie only eats of the leaves so I don't want to prune too drasticly then!

Carrie, it was great to have a little taste of the new leaves....!☺

Thank you luckybie...I hope they will do well in the pot this year!
My son grows peppers (paprika) and tomatoes. He built his own little greenhouse. Last year we could eat a lot of delicious tomatoes and paprikas☺ He has started to plant paprika seed (green red and yellow) again last week.

Hi nan, we have a blueberry shrub way at the bottom of the garden. We usually 'share' the berries with the black birds but if we're not careful we'll get none☺☺

Thank you Pammi, I hope they will do well in the pot this year. Last year in the ground they weren't too good! We'll have to wait and see! ♥

Oh yes lurdo, she's very proud of me, thank you. I search in every little corner when I'm on patrol! ☺

It's a shame I can do that only by day Lynetteoz, the neighbour kitty is very sneaky and will come after dark when I'm inside!! :-)

Lynetteoz

Thank goodness mum has got you Goofie to patrol her tulips and keep that bad neighbour kitty away :-)

Goofie you are very responsible with your job you are supervising all your garden Your Mum ts very proud of you.

Pammi

Yay, Goofie, I can see them coming up too. Lots of luck with them this year, Impie. I can't wait to see them coming along. ♥

Pots can be very useful. We promptly planted highbush blueberries on our front slope but had a hard time getting any berries! Put up copper whirling dancers which did discourage the birds at first, but something ate them at night. Now those bushes exist for the critters - we have four large pots with bushes that are brought up to our deck for ripening, under a big 'cage' that Wayne built. An occasional bird gets in, but mostly we get the berries! I'll try to remember to take pictures this year. It's a good system to share. nan

Yea, the catnip is coming and you could already taste some of it today! That is something to celebrate!

You must be really happy now that you know your catnip has come back to life Goofie. I haven't told Milly yet but her plant has started to get new shoots with fresh leaves on it, just likes your plant. Might give her a treat at the weekend ♥♥

Hi Impie, I was reading an article about catnip and it said you should prune it when it starts flowering which encourages it to flower even more, keep pruning and it will flower well into autumn. I'm going to try this as I love the flowers, they are so pretty ♥☺♥

Impie

Thanks nan...it was such beautiful weather today and I got to check out the complete garden! Our daffodils are also showing above the surface and some snowdrops too. Crocusses will bloom soon too I'd think, the leaves are about 8 cm. so soon the buds will show. Spring is in the air!!!

It certainly is Mrs.soo any time soon now it will be really Spring. If and when the tulips will flower I will ask mum to take a picture of me next to them. (hope she will because I think she hates taking photographs..LOL)
BTW......I also did a very important discovery today....in my catnip field....young new green leaves in the bottom of the plants!!!!....mum picked some for me and they tasted....WONDERFUL!!!♥♥

That's wonderful Atsutsa, I would love to see that....perhaps your mum can take some pictures and post them for us on Jigidi. Then maybe photoshop you next to the cactus just to show you off!!☺

Atsutsa

Yes it is looking like spring here too, Goofie. Mom took a long drive in the countryside to the Northwest of Albuquerque. The high dessert out there is blooming too. Lovely yellow flowers on the cactus, sage turning all bluish and even a bit of standing water here and there. It was beautiful.

soo

That is good news Goofie, it means Spring is really on it's way. In a few weeks they will be flowering and I would love to see another photo of you standing next to them when they are at their best ♥♥

nanlein

Excellent observation, Goofie! Good job on your patrol today.
I noticed today that the tiniest early daffodils (in others' yards) are merrily blooming. Need to check our garden. Yay Spring! nan

Impie

Thank you so LMSmithcats....we'll keep you updated! ☺

Goofie, things are a changing from one patrol to the next. Impie, good luck with the tulips.
