Why are you reporting this puzzle?

As a quilter and a puzzle maker, I realized that some of the quilting patterns make nice jigsaw puzzles. I decided to try making a puzzle using the traditional Log Cabin pattern of quilts. The square in the center represents center of the home. The the logs around it are built in dark and light pattern representing the home itself. If the center block is red it represents the fire in the hearth. If the center block is yellow it represents a welcoming light in the window. I separated my log cabin blocks with half square triangles. Just as in quilting, this was a fun way to use so many of the patterns I have been creating. Frieda and I hope you enjoy the quilt jigsaw puzzle.

I am glad you liked it. And yes we cut out all of those pieces and then stitch them together. It was actually easier making the puzzles because I could 'duplicate'.
Yes there are meanings behind the traditional patterns. Many arose during slavery times. During the days of the underground railroad quilts were hung out with different patterns to help slaves cross to safety. There is controversy on some of their meanings but they are amazing stories. I may try to do a whole series of quilt stories. As I learn new techniques I should be able to use make some pretty great quilts .. in puzzles! Thank you Wiz. I have a good mentor

Hoho that was fun. And oh so complicated. I can't imagine cutting all those pieces out of fabric for a quilt. And the 'meaning' was quite interesting - I didn't know quilts had 'meaning'. Do they all have reasons behind the pattern??
Very, very nice work Frieda!♥
