WOW, it's gorgeous!!! Thanks, TS :)
Well if you see him, give Borris my regards.
Thanks for reminding me about borris, tex. Haven't heard from him in a while. You did not overstep, rose! You just gave the orris's a little more rope tu work with. Plus you gave a link showing why you were correct, so we all learned something.
Thank you, TS and Morris. I was just concerned that I had overstepped.
Roseheather, it's too technical for us, we're simple puzzlers, and most of us would call it a dandelion. We had fun with the proper name of it though, wouldn't you say? No worries, and thanks for stopping by. And Morris, you just keep on being you, I'm surprised you didn't blame Borris somehow!
I am sure that texas did not take any offense, rose! And just tu let you know, I was just funning with you!
Texasstar, I didn't mean to be insulting, I am sorry if I offended you.
I had looked for this in the past, when a similar picture had been posted. I know dandelions all too well, not really fond of them, and this flower seed-head was not like a dandelion.
I am sorry. : (
Of course, tex. Hey I got a couple of bridges for sale!
Oh, yeah, Morris! Excuses, excuses...I guess the dog ate your homework too, yes?
That's why I did not get it. I knew that it was not a dandelion! Yeah thats it!!
Don't du this tu me rose, It took me tu days tu figure out the dandelion pun! I can't take tu much more of this. ARRRGH!!!!!!
Yep, those tragopogon porrifolius sunrises shore are purty!
What a magnificant salsify (tragopogon porrifolius) sunrise, tex !!!
I had no idea, roseheather. Wow...I learned something again on Jigidi! Very beautiful tragopogon porrifolius, texasstar!
Oh, my, what critical information! Next time I'll certainly examine the structure before I misname it...
Actually this isn't a dandelion, but a flower that puts forth a similar structure after the blossom has faded. A dandelion has a very tight structure and this one is more open, lots of space in the seed structure. It is a salsify (tragopogon porrifolius) which has gone to seed.
Thank you, Shirley, PLG & Sis! I can't take credit for the photo, it isn't mine. I like it anyway.
This is amazing...so pretty! I love the effect you got from the dandelion! Thanks, Sis!
Gorgeous! Thanks, TS!
